How to perform a cold boot on a Digital Satellite System (DSS) receiver?

1. Turn off the DSS receiver.
2. Unplug the power cord of the DSS receiver from the AC electrical outlet.
3. Remove the DSS coaxial cable from the SATELLITE IN jack.
4. Remove the VHF/UHF coaxial cable from the VHF/UHF IN jack.
5. Remove the telephone cord from the TEL IN jack.
6.Remove the Access Card from the DSS receiver.
7. On the Access Card , clean the gold contact using a soft cloth or pencil eraser.
8. Reinsert the Access Card into the DSS receiver.
9. Plug the telephone cord back into the TEL IN jack.
10. Reconnect the VHF/UHF coaxial cable to the VHF/UHF IN jack.
11. Plug the power cord of the DSS receiver back into the AC electrical outlet.
12. Turn on the DSS receiver.
13. Wait one minute and then turn off the DSS receiver.
14. Reconnect the DSS coaxial cable to the SATELLITE IN jack.
15. Turn on the DSS receiver.
